The Pulp Tarot

I picked up this deck at a local bookstore after it was suggested by one of our viewers as an addition to the Top 10 Tarot Decks list.

I loved it immediately for its packaging - the box has been cleverly designed to look like a small, slightly worn, vintage hardcover book. ❤

This looks like a really fun deck, and I was very excited to find it, my excitement was shared by the cashier as she rang up my purchase.

What’s in the Box?

The box opens up like a book of course, to reveal a standard little white book and a deck of 78 Tarot cards. The card quality is pretty basic, the cards are made of thinner card stock, easy to handle and shuffle, but may wear out quickly. Not an issue for me, I think these cards will probably look even better worn in a bit, as it will lend itself to the vintage aesthetic.

The little white book is pretty basic and printed on plain, boring, white paper. The deck would have been even more delightful if the book had been created to look like a tiny comic or magazine as I envisioned, but it serves its purpose.

There are meanings for all the cards in the deck, playfully written to accompany the imagery.
