Stranger Things Tarot Deck
Stranger Things Tarot Deck and Guide Book
If your are a fan of the Netflix series, you will thoroughly enjoy this one, it’s a fun way to pass time while awaiting the release of the final episode or to reconnect with the series after the show is done.
Included in the box is:
78 card deck based on the classic Rider Waite Tarot.
A 123 page full color Guidebook
This deck is fun and playful, with some very silly symbolism such as using an Eggo waffle as the wheel of fortune.
You do need to have some knowledge of the Stranger Things show to get full value out of this deck, to understand the layered meanings behind the characters & imagery.
For example, the context of this card would be lost on anyone who hasn’t seen the episode, and can understand the urgent desperation of Joyce hanging these Christmas lights.
Makes a great Christmas gift, it feels themed for the season with the suit of Strands (Wands) represented by strands of Christmas lights.
The other suits are Scoops (Pentacles), Spokes (Cups) and Dice (Swords) all depicted by symbols within the series. The numbered cards of the Minor Arcana are a bit disappointing at times, as they are essentially pip cards, especially in the suit of Scoops.
The Court Cards, however, do make up for this with delightful depictions of the shows characters, each one beautifully chosen for their role.
This suit represents fire, passion and creativity.
The Suit of Dice
The suit of Swords is represented by Dice. Dice from the Dungeons and Dragons game of course and each number shows a different game piece on the card, starting with the ACE of Dice marking the beginning of a journey, the path of a hero, and planning a campaign.
The Page of Dice is Will Byers, when he shows up in your reading you are encouraged to pursue creative ideas.
Major Arcana
to be continued…
